Qian Jin, Secretary General of China Packaging Technology Association, told that since 1995, China's corrugated board production has always ranked third in the world, second only to the United States and Japan. In 2002, China's corrugated board output reached 14.8 billion square meters, with an increase of 10.3% relying on the advantages of the traditional basic material industry, surpassing Japan, ranking second in the world, second only to the United States; In 2003, China's corrugated board output was about 15.8 billion square meters, an increase of about 6.8%. The continuous increase in output is mainly due to the progress of production technology, process, equipment and management

with the improvement of the quality and output of domestic medium and high-grade corrugated paper, the proportion of imported corrugated paper will be smaller and smaller. In 2002, the import was 1.254 million tons, and in 2003, the import was less than 1 million tons, indicating that a large number of medium-grade and some high-grade cardboard products have been self-sufficient in China, and only some high-grade Kraft linerboard and high-strength corrugated paper still need to be imported

after China's entry into WTO, with the shift of the world's processing and manufacturing industry to China, the development speed of China's packaging industry, especially the corrugated box industry, is faster. Relevant authorities predict that the consumption of corrugated board in China will reach 16.537 billion square meters in 2004. From 2005 to 2008, the annual consumption of corrugated board in China will reach 20billion square meters

Secretary General Qian said that China is a large country with a vast territory. The different characteristics of economic development in various provinces and cities have led to the uneven distribution and development of corrugated box enterprises in various regions. At present, China's carton industry has gradually formed three bases, namely, the Bohai Rim region, with a total annual production capacity of 3million tons; The total annual production capacity of the Yangtze River Delta is 3million tons; In the Pearl River Delta region, the total annual production capacity is 3.5 million tons to 4 million tons

corrugated box enterprises in these three regions are among the top in the same industry in China in terms of enterprise scale, production capacity, product quality and production efficiency

Guangdong Province is a major packaging Province in China. As a representative of the Pearl River Delta, it is the most mature region in China's corrugated box industry, and its total output value of packaging industry once led the country. Its absolute advantage mainly benefits from Guangdong's developed economy and unique geographical location

Guangdong is a trade center in South China. Its output of convenience food, dairy products, household appliances and electronic products is huge, and its demand for corrugated boxes has great potential. In addition, the huge demand in Hong Kong market also affects Guangdong. Figures show that at present, the cartons supplied by Guangdong Province to Hong Kong account for 30% of the total production of the province. Guangdong carton enterprises have more advanced equipment ownership, industry scale, product quality and output value benefits than other provinces and cities in the country. Among them, Guangdong has more than 300 corrugated board production lines representing high-level production equipment in the carton industry, accounting for one third of the country. In terms of industry scale, Guangdong currently has more than 5000 large and small-scale carton factories, dozens of packaging enterprises with sales of more than 100 million yuan, and Hong Kong and foreign-invested enterprises are the most concentrated in Guangdong

the ratio of various raw materials in Qianbi said that the Yangtze River Delta plate represented by Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui is the fastest-growing region in recent years. In 2003, the number of printing enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta exceeded 18000, with a sales revenue of 75billion yuan

according to the statistics of relevant departments, the sales volume of Shanghai carton industry was 1billion yuan in 1990, and increased to 6billion yuan in 2002, while the carton sales revenue reached 6.5 billion yuan in 2003, with an average annual increase of 500million yuan. At this rate, it is estimated that it will reach 10billion yuan in 2010

the annual sales volume of Shanghai's cloth and carton industry has increased sharply year by year, which is inseparable from the economic development of the Yangtze River Delta

the corrugated box industry in Zhejiang and Jiangsu has a strong development momentum, mainly thanks to modern production technology. These include township enterprises with modern production level and gradually growing up, and large international paper industry groups that invest in China and bring high and new technology. They have brought new concepts and technologies of production and management to the industry. At present, the national China paper packaging development and production base, China paperboard development base, China paper products nanotechnology application research center and other large-scale packaging professional production bases and centers of China Packaging Technology Association have all settled in Zhejiang

Secretary General Qian said that the development of the Bohai Rim region, represented by Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong, was most significantly affected by the changes in the industry economy. In recent years, the development of China's food industry, especially the dairy industry, has brought huge business opportunities to the corrugated box industry in this region. 3M companies such as Inner Mongolia Yili Group, Mengniu Group, Hebei Sanlu, Beijing Sanyuan and Shanghai Guangming have released a series of low VOC adhesive tapes. Dairy giants have invested in the production of cartons in North China and Northeast China. These enterprises have high requirements for the supply of cartons in terms of quantity, quality, scale and after-sales service, which indirectly promotes the rapid development of the carton industry in these regions

at present, overseas paper industry is very optimistic about China's corrugated paper market. 4. With the regular inspection of the screws at the jaw, foreign investment and the expansion of the production scale of the domestic paper industry, the market demand has been eased, and the corrugated base paper with multiple specifications, high strength and low quantity can meet the needs of the carton industry. Judging from the development trend, at present, there are all kinds of high, medium and low products, and the market share is basically divided into imported products, products of foreign-funded enterprises and products of domestic enterprises. From the perspective of high-end product market, foreign-funded enterprises have produced high-quality corrugated paper products in China to seize market share, which will gradually reduce the market share of imported carton board products. Moreover, foreign-funded enterprises have large production scale, sufficient funds, high-grade products, good quality, and lower prices than imported products

Secretary General Qian said that the rapid growth of carton consumption in China was in sharp contrast to the contraction of consumption in Asia and other regions of the world. In recent years, Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea in Asia have experienced negative growth, while China continues to grow at a relatively high rate. The next six to seven years will be an important period of rapid economic development in China, which may drive the development of China's corrugated box industry. This is closely related to the development of paper industry, paper products processing industry, carton machinery industry and related industries. These industries have promoted the scale, product grade and packaging level of paper packaging enterprises. Foreign funded enterprises introduce foreign advanced technology and equipment and absorb foreign advanced management experience, so as to improve product quality and significantly increase the matching rate of export goods and domestic demand goods packaging
